About Earth Art Magic

In 2022, designer and illustrator Vern Fannin expanded her solo design ventures into Earth Art Magic. With the help of a few more members on her creative team, a collective mentality, and, truly, emotional support, Vern can complete larger-scale and more efficient projects.

Earth Art Magic is a design team that supports open-hearted humans (and weirdos), eco-conscious product makers, nonprofits, and organizations doing regenerative work that matters to the health of the world.

Whether it’s for freelance illustration, design consultation, or brand development, throughout their entire experience, Earth Art Magic clients are met with clarity, thoughtfulness, and open communication that leads to beautiful solutions.

“I enjoy custom projects of all stripes. From signage, imaging, and organizing, to workshops, websites, and feasts.

Thoughtful, authentic endeavors that play a role in realizing the more beautiful world that our hearts know is possible particularly excite me.

I am a geek at heart, and I love anything that’s structured like an 8-bit RPG. I love board games, puzzles, fantasy, nature nerds, and a courageous cause.

I started Earth Art Magic in 2022 to nurture the artist and educator in me. I see Earth Art Magic as an artistic orchard that will one day feed a whole clan of creatives.”

Emet Lipson

content & marketing director • systems

Emet Lipson doesn’t just “think outside the box;” they ask, “Who built the box?” and “Why?”. After considering the responses (and letting their kitties play inside), Emet breaks down the box, cuts apart the panels, paints them, and uses them to design a stage set. Emet not only turns trash into treasure, but also asks, “Who deemed it ‘trash’ in the first place?”

“Emet” is a Hebrew word meaning “truth,” and no one embodies truth more than Emet. Emet’s authentic existence encourages those around them to live their truths as well. Through casual conversation and mindful observation, Emet perceives a brand’s truth, builds a comprehensive understanding of that perspective, and designs communication that is attractive, relevant, and on-brand.

Emet’s interest in the written word led them to earn their BA in Linguistics from SUNY Binghamton. They learned the impact of words, how language evolves, and why words are sometimes not enough. With 10 years of relevant experience in graphic design, marketing, and problem solving, Emet is well prepared to tackle new challenges.

As Communications Coordinator for The Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore for 5 years and currently Director of Communications at Draw Botanical, Emet has experience building and maintaining style guides, managing and producing all constituent-facing communications (email, phone, social media, print), and utilizing their attention to detail with a commitment to consistency for quality control of promotional materials. This innovative digital native understands both the visual stories conveyed on the front-end and the technicalities and limitations on the back-end.
